I am not sure if this is thread worthy as I don't start them very often. BUT, there is one previous Rockets player that I am curious what happened to. WAY back in the 87-88 season we had a forward by the name of Walter Berry. Lefty. He did pretty good with the spurs and at the time I thought he would be the forward we needed as Buck Johnson was not doing squat. Of course my basketball knowledge at the time was about as useful as a wet fart. But still. He was a serviceable player. Do any old timers recall what happened to him and why he left the league after that season? Anyone else recall some obscure player that seemed promising that crapped out? I remember some analysts mentioning Steve Harris and Larry Bird in the same breath. Wouldn't mind a puff of that guys special cig.
Believe WB went to Europe. Steve Harris. One pick after Rox target: Joe Dumars. Not a very golden Hurricane.
Harold Miner?.... LOL "Baby Jordan".... As far as Berry, like someone already mentioned, he played in Europe leagues. ....... ....... .......
Oh and Derrick Cehvious. I think we pissed a mid 1st round pick away on that? Of course the 88 draft wasn't exactly loaded.
Derrick Chievous. Once he had the Celtic baseball cap on it was over. Only last 3 yrs. in the league.
For some reason the name Eldridge Recasner always comes to mind to me when I think about "What happened to that guy?" Probably just because I liked his name when I was a young lad.
Yeah, for real, dude was so athletic. Had a great frame/size 6'6"... He recently got in trouble for violations while coaching HS ball...
Craig Ehlo. Made his mark with the Cav. If Jordan had not tortored him so much he would have been one of the top guards of the era.
Derrick Chievous.....hahaha that brings me back. He went to the Philippines and played for a local team. Dude was nuts!
Well... Good news, he became a bust, but that was after we traded him for Francis... Definitely was thinking about him though.
