Taylor Buckholz had his best outing of the year last night, going 7 innings, giving up only 1 ER, and striking out 10.

Of course, there are no longer any position players to keep track of at AAA, now that Buck and Burke are no longer there.

Tavares is still playing sparingly at AA, nursing the hip injury back.

Why, did Burke get called up?

    Yep. Burke up, Griffiths down.

Which makes our rotation...Clemens, Oswalt, Pettitte, Munro, and ?

A few pitchers to watch in AAA, Duckworth, Buchholz, Hernandez, Fernandez, Qualls, Griffiths all could conceivably be part of the Astros at some point this year. Barzilla is doing pretty well as a lefty right now

Maybe Whiteman is worth keeping track of? Good thing we seem to have a decent number of position prospects in AA, with Taveras, Jimerson, Self, and Gimenez. PLus a good load of pitching in Houlton, Astacio,

BTW, Josh Anderson is still ripping up the minors even after promotion. I think he might still be leading all of professional baseball in steals and runs. 82 runs, 57 SB in 80 games. Ridiculous. I'd bet if Taveras had stayed healthy and earned a AAA callup, we'd see Anderson in AA by the end of the year, impressive considering he started in low A ball.

I bet Whiteman is the player that is included in the trade for the reliever we are lacking!
