Omer Asik Trade. Rumors, Tweets and Updates. (Deadline Dec 20th)

Celtics would demand Asik/Lin and a first or Asik/Lin and Parsons. I don't see Morey giving up that much just to clear space unless he's absolutely positively in love with Carmelo and is certain he can sign him. This assumes (huge assumption) that Carmelo is willing to walk away from a max length contract.

 

Excellent trade idea with the Celtics using Bogans non guaranteed and the TPE. Everyone is happy and we would have cap space to sign one of Melo, Dirk, Bosh, Lowry, etc.

 

I'd give up this year's first along with Asik and Lin for nothing to the Celtics. A first rounder will just eat up cap space that could be used for a third star.
