    Its this kind of reaction of why they put up a privacy barrier. Obviously they can't screen out the initial injury but they want to avoid anything more.

    I don't see why people are ragging on the Olympic officials for taking this step.

    I agree. It seems like the halfway decent thing to do, for the athlete, the fans, and especially the family of the athlete.

    That's terrible but at least with the privacy poster board things this guy doesn't have to deal with the whole world watching him lay there in agonizing pain.

    I was watching women's gymnastics last night [against my will] and some girl royally botched the balance beam or one of those events. Guess where that camera was immediately after while she was getting consoled and fighting tears: right in here face for a good 10-15 seconds.

    Different circumstances obviously, still the same point though. If you were the athlete would you want billions getting a close up of your pain and disappointment?

    Yes. Yes, you can. I once asked a girl out who didn't want to wear a dress. She said "I look like a sissy", and I was all " :eek: Aren't girls supposed to look like girls?" Nonetheless, she was the best looking girl on the dance floor.
