I would love it if OKC missed the playoffs and the Clippers got in. I know it's unlikely, but they're only 2.5 games ahead. Would love to see the media narrative spin that one. MVP Westbrook can't take a team to the playoffs because they're missing the amazing Roberson, who supposedly was garbage the year before.
This team looked completely different without Melo playing today. Im not sure if its just a coincident and matchup issue the Warriors have, or if the Warriors are just in a slump.
The Thunders resolve to hold onto Ferguson is going to really be tested before the deadline tomorrow. They are in a win now situation, with a massive hole with Roberson out, lots of 2/3’s available and Ferguson is giving them close to zero.
OKC got ransacked last night and tied for 9th place in loss column and nobody bumped this thread? Slacking y'all. Disappointed.
They are only 2 games out of the 9th seed. And none of the teams behind them including the Clippers are tanking the rest of the season, so they'll all remain in the playoff picture. Even the Jazz who've won 7 in a row are still competing for a spot despite trading away Rodney Hood and Joe Johnson. I still think it would be shocking if the Thunder didn't make the playoffs, but it also can't be ignored that they've lost 5 of 7 games since the Roberson injury.
Every time I watch them, it becomes really clear just how much of a black hole he is. You can count on him to dribble for a few seconds, pivot for 5 more seconds and then throw up a contested jumper. And considering he can barely jump nowadays, he just doesn't get enough lift to get away with that anymore. At least in the past, he could just jump high enough to cleanly shoot over any defender. I just don't think he fits in the offense. Without him they can run a lot more and seem to move around more freely.
To be fair, they didn't have Russell triple-double Westbrook and Carmelo we-need-to-play-more-selfish Anthony last night. #PGneedsmorehelp
No need to worry gentlemen, I'm here. Thunder are 1-5 since my unheralded return to this thread. All their losses are belong to me.
Please time your appearance so the thunder can meet the warriors in the first round. Warriors might still sweep them but it'll be better than the warriors sweeping some other team.
I just want us to get the 1 seed and the thunder on the warriors side of the bracket. I'm cool with 3, 6, or 7 seed for OKC
By the end time I'm done with the Thunder, they might not even make the playoffs. Already 25 losses tied with #6 Blazers and #7 Clippers. Thunder shall reach the pit of misery soon and never return.
