Guys I haven't seen much of Minesota this year. This guy puts up some good numbers. How good is he or you think will be? What are his strengths? Also, any case for ROY?
I dont think anyone really has seen much of him in Minnesota. Seeing him out in Memphis may have been a possiblity. the guy is putting up numbers he will be a scoring machine...he has a strong case for ROY but i think Rose, Brook Lopez and Westbrook all can make the same case as well. Also with Jefferson out Love may make a strong push after the break if he starts seeing more minutes and gets more involved in the offense
I bet Minnesota fans wish they saw him and Minny. And Brandon Roy. But I thought the media made Mayo look thuggish coming out of high school and up to this point his image has been clean off the court.
Actually there was a rumor that the both of them didn't get alone because of the difference in personality. They say Mayo never smiles even when happy. Gay smiles even when mad. So it is had to get a read on both of them. This was said on Memphis broadcast when they played us. But they said everything was fine between the two of them.
Mayo is the best rookie IMO. He handles himself on the court like a 12yr veteran. The only reason he isn't getting the credit he deserves is because people aren't watching him (media included).
