I don't know where the cut Walters is coming from, he's a good #3 WR, unfortunately we have no #2 and jacoby is a #905595095959 WR.
Okoye is nodding. First Rd, Kendall Wright Second Rd, start going BPA among: CB, FB, OLine depth, WR, NT WR is the only *must* selection. They shouldn't be scared to trade up a few slots, either. Have to get a second guy that can beat a man one on one and stretch the safeties away from the LBs.

I'll be pissed if the Texans don't even attempt to re-sign Mario Williams. There's a reason guys like him don't leave their teams until past 30.
Yes. Lets stop this thing of receivers "knowing the system" so they do the "intricate things" to make the sytem work so that is "enough. Andre Johnson had 8 catches for 111 yards against Ravens. Next closest Texan WR, Kevin Walter TWO catches. NO other WR had a catch. Now thats agains a great Ravens D. The Texans D themselves almost shut out every other Raven WR not named Anquan Boldin. So sometimes defenses can just take guys out. Still, yeah MATT SCHAUB might not "need" playmakers at every position. But your BACKUP and ROOKIE QBs DO. I bet the Texans could do more with Torrey Smith and Lee Evans than the Ravens can.
He makes them better. Possibly makes them the best front 7 in football. Money can always be found and spent... hell, this team just wasted an entire 3 year salary run on Jacoby Jones who added virtually nothing this year. They can find productive players with what they'l have leftover after they re-sign Mario... but you don't just let a guy with his talent leave when you have the inside track to sign him.
Arian isn't going anywhere... the fact that Tate got almost zero touches today should solidify that. They should make an attempt to resign Mario. He can choose to leave if he wants, so it may be harder... but he's still very young and still too tremendous of a talent to just let him go.
To be honest, I was impressed with his one on one coverage today... they made specatular catches all around on him, but he was right there for each of them (and even managed to turn around and swat one away). I'm not saying he's going to approach a pro bowl level, or justify being a first round pick, but he's certainly better than he was last year... and is still young enough to continue to improve.
what about signing a free agent WR? http://www.footballsfuture.com/2012/fa/wr.html Spoiler Manningham?
Resigning Mario makes their defense elite, with an unquestioned #1 front 7 in the league. Getting a high priced #2 WR merely keeps their offense of decent potential... but they still need Schaub, Arian, and AJ all healthy for them to be above average. I'd take Mario if given a choice... they don't need a former #1 as their #2... just somebody with more ability than Jones.
It looked like Texans defense was getting worked (it almost always does seem defenses are "flimsy" and secondaries are "suspect") But you look at the box score, Ravens WRs only had 6 catches total. 4 by Anquan Boldin and one of them a great grab that really could have been OVERTURNED. Take way Yates turnovers, Joe Flacco had as bad a time completing passes as Yates. BUT if Wade leaves then shore up that secondary, replenish his loss with talent lol
I would love to go after a legit CB2 in the draft or free agency. Imagine how unreal this defense would be if they didn't have anyone to pick on in the secondary. WR and CB are the only glaring needs IMO.
Even Joseph was torched on occasion this season... Usually, if teams are able to go deep its because the QB has zero danger of being mauled. Mario still can get to the QB any time he wants to... and now we know that Barwin (unproven before this year), Watt, and Antonio (with Mario in there to draw attention) can do so as well. I'd love to see this defense at full strength, with full knowledge of all of Wade's schemes, and with the rotating personel of Reed, Mario, Barwin, Cushing, Watt, and Smith.
