Someone is going to ask him that in the post-game presser, I wonder what his response will be.

Many times this is absolutely true. Harris has proven to be over his head in the 9th. He was the third option at best today and it wasn’t the time to roll the dice on a confidence boost job.

yes you absolutely can. Devo had been lights out and only pitched 12 pitches. Harris is a shaky closer, that is all on coaching.

I'm say that if I were Hinch I would make sure that Verlander isn't by the Gatorade cooler.

I also find it fitting that Gatis is pinch hitting for Fisher.

Well, Hinch's use of the bullpen has been called into question before. Blowing this game is a kick in the stomach.

It's getting harder to take this team seriously when we keep playing Fisher/Jake/Gattis and we keep forcing relief pitchers into the same roles that they've proven they can't succeed in.

    /knee jerk rant

Not a knee jerk..... having 2 sub .200 bats in the line and an unsettled pen has already cost us 4-5 games.

We knew going into last offseason that LF, DH and closer were problematic. Luhnow addressed none of them.
