I watched the Cowboys yesterday, Dak had time to throw to a bunch of accomplished receivers and just crushed the Giants. If Deshan has time to make his reads, the Texans offense could put up 50, the receiving corp is that good.
This feels like one of those games where Watson will keep us in it but there's simply not enough room for error. Either our defense will blow it or we'll have an untimely turnover and that will be that. #1 objective seems like getting through this with no major injuries.
The NFL did the Texans no favors with the schedule - this is a BRUTAL opening game; that place is going to be chaotic. My hope is... well, Brees and Watson have a shootout because I own Brees and Hopkins... but I have a feeling Brees and Payton will be able to exploit our obvious weaknesses and roll to a big win.
I don't trust our play calling enough to predict a win here. The offense will be playing against 2 different defenses everytime they step on the field. The Saints defense and the Texans coaching staff.
I'm recording the Astros and Texans. I'm planning on watching the Texans live... as long as it's competitive. Please don't make me change the channel early.
Only two were in New Orleans, though, and they scored 40 and 34 points in those 2 losses. I would put exactly zero.point.zero stock in that strange anomaly of a stat. The Saints (and their fans) are going to be barn-burning tonight, and the Texans could very well be wrong place, wrong time. Convenient as all get out, I know - especially with the number of knives out for this team - but I wouldn't read much into a loss tonight at all. A win would be wildly impressive. But I think the atmosphere and energy would overwhelm virtually every team in the NFL not coached by Bill Belichick.
I believe in guys like Watt, Watson, Hop, McK, etc. I've never been a fan of our play calling, but maybe our new OC will have some influence. I like the Saints and have always been a Brees fan, but tonight I hope we kick their assess and make a statement to the league.
I I’m pretty sure I saw somewhere that O’Brien will be making the play calls tonight and if that’s true then I feel like this is going to be a crappy opener
I'm reminded of this quote every time I get excited for a nationally televised Texans' game. Yet each time I'm excited and yet each time I'm...
Lets hope tonight the Texans don't do the same old thing over and over again and get people talking in a good way. Go Texans!
