Saw this coming, they drafted Blake Fisher and Howard was inefficient on the interior. I think they sign a veteran and draft a swing
I did not see this coming, Fisher sucks and I "assumed" he would not make the team this year...........maybe were moving on from this O Line which is fine by me, but what's the back up plan.............FA time baby.
Could just take right tackle early and let them and Fisher compete. Can never have enough. Could be shifting money for Ingram...
What if this was our line: Aireontae Ersery Ed Ingram Tyler Linderbaum Chase Bisonitis (TAMU G) Blake Miller (Clemson RT) Bench Blake Fisher Jake Andrews Juice Scruggs Jarrett Patterson Trent Brown This assumes 1 or 2 guys get hurt or cut during camp.
Sign Salyer (LT) 3 years, $30M (9, 10, 11) Sign Mays (C) 4 years, $40M (8, 9, 10, 13) Sign Paul (LG) 3 years, $12M (3, 4, 5) 3 starters for $20M in 2026 Draft Drucker or Rutledge in Round 2 Draft Crownover in Round 5 (with CLE pick) has potential tools to be effective swing tackle Trade Scruggs for 2027 pick or combined to move up in draft Salyer - Paul - Mays - Rutledge - Ersery Fisher - Kingston - Andrews - Patterson - Crownover
They always do...it's nothing new and I fully expect teams will jump them again for players theyre obviously hoping for.
So basically we moved Juice, Tytus, a 7th, and a pick swap from 4 to 5 for David Montgomery. There should be some cap savings in there. I'm not seeing a lot given up and with 1 year left he should be motivated. Definitely looks like the right side of the line is a rebuild through the draft.
I’m sick about giving up a 4th rounder for a 29yr old rb next season. Not the end of the world but I can’t see this being a good idea. It fits a pattern of trading valuable picks for old, short-term rentals that get hurt.
