    I thought the same for a sec
    The new NFL kickoff rule states that when a player receiving a kickoff makes a fair catch anywhere between his own goal line and his 25-yard line, the play is blown dead and the ball is spotted at the 25-yard line. Effectively, this makes a fair catch inside the 25 a touchback.
