He needs to find his range. I'd rather he chuck up 30 shots per game in the G-league than struggle like a bust.

We don't game plan for Smith. He's out there freestyling taking shots without thinking. A real coach would have set plays for Smith or something. Silas just throws Smith in there and say go play ball like it's the aau. The team right now is just free styling and playing on the backs of their talented players. The offense is let sengun have the ball and whoever ls open from the ball movement shoots it.
Just keep in mind that sending someone to the G league isn't a form of punishment. You can actually develop your game there. You can get Smith way more shots and build is confidence.
why would we send Smith to the G league when there's plenty of playing time he could get on the team. We just need someone to actually coach Smith instead of just letting him do whatever to figure out his game
I'd rather figure out what's best for him instead of some false pride bs that may be detrimental to his development, nothing to gain from that approach.
I suspect he'll be much more efficient with a real coach and a real PG running a real offense. And so I wait...
Hopefully this "real coach" whoever that turns out to be can magically make Jabari make his wide open shots and defend at a high level. If the kid would just do THAT he would at least fulfill the expectations of those guys who were not sold on him prior to the draft.
