I have seen 2 separate box scores (although they may come from the same place) showing that Gregerson got the win. That can't be right.

Im watching the Hinch post game interview…doesn't look good for Springer. He had swelling and whenever you get hit in the hand area, then it can be a big cause for concern.

This sucks.

 

I suspect they will just activate Marisnick if he is ready.

Should read that way but Gregerson listed as winner on both ESPN and MLB.com Guess homescorer has power to make that decision now.

The official scorer can and did deem Fields ineffective for the win, but IMO, he should have awarded Neshek the W and Gregorson the save.

I understand. Just not sure if Jose was implying they changed the W, or that he thought they should.

Makes sense to me that Gregerson got the win - he got the most outs without allowing a base-runner. Hard to objectively argue against that making him the "most effective" among the subsequent relievers to Fields..

Just saying that it wasn't a "box score error" amongst websites as somebody said earlier. This was the official scorers decision.
