I wasn't trying to dismiss Banchero. He is still very young. Just pointing out that it's harder to fix your weaknesses than you strengths. Smith is already on his way to fixing his weaknesses. The strengths will show up in time.

Being in a tougher conference certainly affects a team's success. Not sure how it would affect individual success.

Agreed that Jabari is not the flashy type. He could average 20-10 with great defense and people would still call him a glorified role player.

It is the same or similar with Jalen Green if he can fix his defense and develop better go to moves, a better and fruitful bag of tricks.

IMHO Paolo is already better in the Offense repertoire department and is already as strong as a work horse.

Paolo has the semi elite vision that Jabari and Jalen Green lack. And is also already creative with his choices on Offense.

Defense is another issue but you survive as a superstar without Defense.

Just really develop your sense as a help defender.

We have seen that with Lillard and other players. Luka for instance.

That one will be true, his movements and shots are mechanical, much like Duncan. But I do not think he has the IT factor of a Tim Duncan.

Dude was better than Garnett, Dirk, Malone, Barkley for a good reason.

The gripe I do not know if it really is his weakness or just some mentality or a temporary flaw in the system.

Or just him being lazy. Or him being not intelligent enough.

Defense is more about intelligence and hard work than talent although there are defensive talents who pride themselves in D from a kid age.

A team having one hub is American style of play. European/Princeton has many hubs all of which play an integral part.

I think both players are gonna be pretty good and rivals for years to come similar to Dirk/TD.

I really wish we had a chance to draft Paolo. We could be kneejerking right now about how much he sucks because of a few preseason games! Fate is cruel.

Man I still like Jabari but Banchero on this team with Jalen and under a disciplinarian coach like Udoka would be insane.

When you see him on the court he is so massive and quick he honestly looks a lot like a taller but less athletic Zion. But then again if we had Banchero there's no way Rox get a high pick to draft Amen and Silas prob wouldn't be fired with 1 yr on his deal cuz having one offensive hub like Banchero is what he is comfortable with. Things happen for a reason I guess.

silas would have screwed up with Paolo too. Silas was really really bad.

also Paolo went 1. rockets picked 3. we gotta forget about Paolo being a rocket it wasn't happening. Miller, Paolo's manager, is the one who got him to the #1 pick. Paolo was fine going 3. it didn't happen.

Will always be a fan of Banchero cuz he was really excited to be a Rocket. Saw all the promise on the team and org despite all the naysayers and smack talk from prospects and their parents who haven't done **** in the NBA yet at the time.

Happy to see him and blow up and be successful.

Pat talking to much, Magic are pretty good this year and i will not be surprised if they end up facing the 6ers in the playoffs and knock them out.
