u sound a watson hater. Every play that went bad is watson fault and not the sht hc of BoB.

Watson has his sht days, but we not gonna win with a sht hc who can't utilize his time outs and call plays.

    Watson deserves blame for sure.

The real blame is play calling. You are finally finding a rhythm to the game and you go for the WR pass? It’s incredibly incompetent. I’m half way hoping Cal loses his mind and cans O’Brien after this game. Of course, that wouldn’t really be losing his mind. I would call Oklahoma up and check interest.

I totally agree..that ridiculous Hopkins play call killed our momentum and possibly the game...but Watson missed ...what 5? Open receivers? 2 that could’ve lead to a TD? We can’t say this dude didn’t contribute to this loss...we are so use to him pulling us to a last second victory that when we lose we decide to put all the blame on the coach. I’m sorry, I’m not down with that.

My worst fear is this because the excuses will start and it’s another year of BoBs ass. We just need to lose badly. It’s the only way forward.

I put it on coach first. He has to put players in position and it feels like we don't even know what a slant or quick route is. It looks like we try to go down the field every play.

Watson has to make better decisions, no doubt about that, but the coach can help with that.

    Texans could realistically be 0-4.

No QB is perfect. Watson has a lot to deal with concerning this offensive line. Early in the game he was getting attacked too much. There is so much wrong with this team regarding the coaching and gameplan executing it makes no sense to act like Watson makes most of these mistakes due to pure not having it in his head to make the right decision. Right now he can't even trust that he has the time or the right play call. But whatever I know this will not be taken into account by you for various biased reasons.

Watson wasn’t great but that’s why you should have good coaching.

Billy O boy was horrendous. And it wasn’t just the one bad call. THe Texans struggled in the exact same way the whole game - receivers not getting open fast enough so Watson forced to hold the ball and then getting pressured. It’s on the HC/offensive playcalling to realize and adjust.

The reason last week worked was because the Chargers also have really bad head coaching.

Terrible play calling, terrible game management from O’Brien.
Trying to do too much, slow reads and inaccurate from Watson.
O-line gave up too much pressure but were put in bad positions, by play calls and Watson.
Defense played a hell of a game, sucks Watt missed that sack

Buttchin. Watson sucked but that idiotic play toward the end of the half shifted this game to Carolina.

Kyle Allen was worse than Watson but when you're a superior coach you can get the w with an inferior qb

I think with Kubiak the issue was his inflexibility. His mentality was "we're gonna do us, and see if you can stop it." This worked against bad and mediocre teams, but playoff caliber defenses picked us apart like it was the easiest thing in the world for them. Tom Coughlin in particular made it look like child's play.

Ultimately, you need someone who can run a variable offense to pick at the opposing team's weakest defender, the way all great QB's do. But you also need a coach whose head is not so far up his ass that he cannot take criticism and learn from all his horrendous mistakes with clock management, timeouts, challenges, etc etc. This is BOB's great flaw. He is so arrogant that when you see us fail miserably you have 0% confidence that he'll actually be able to figure out what's going wrong. Because he listens to nobody.
