September 5: 4 PM ET deadline for teams to reduce their rosters to 53 players.

September 6: Players released the day prior can be claimed on waivers until 12 PM ET.

Once Noon hits, those players are free agents and practice squads can start being formed.
September 6: 4 PM ET deadline for players to be placed on Reserve/Injured as "Designated for Return."

We should cut most of our oline depth, they were trash lat night. We need to look at other teams cuts especially if they are deep on oline.

Everyone else on the bubble except Tuggle was trash as well. Will be interesting if we cut past 53 and sign other teams trash instead of keep ours.

I would not be surprised to see the Texans pickup a OLB and one or more OL.

49ers are apparently going into full rebuild according to an article I saw and have even considered cutting Vernon Davis.

New England has Gronk and Scott Chandler now. My biggern concern would be a team like the Steelers.

Looks like he may have been traded to Atlanta.

A friendly reminder that we traded UP to take this joker.

    http://houston.cbslocal.com/2015/09/04/louis-nix-released-by-texans/

HOUSTON (CBS HOUSTON) – The Texans have released 2014 third round pick Louis Nix III.
The team used a fourth and fifth round pick to move into the third round in 2014 to select Nix. He missed almost all of 2014 with various injuries.
Nix started the Texans first preseason game and said after the game he felt great being healthy but didn’t know how he did. Bill O’Brien, the day after, made the comment Nix wouldn’t be that happy when he watched back the film. He played in the other preseason games for the Texans recording few stats.
The signing of Vince Wilfork, the continued improvement of Jeoffrey Pagan, and the emergence of Christian Covington likely made Nix expendable.

It didn't work out, but it was still a solid pick at the time. Not every player pans out. Welcome to football. Look at any NFL franchise, missing on mid round gambles happens more often than you might think.

The fact that many teams passed on him despite his falling shows that several teams didn't think he was a good pick at the time

That was why he was a good pick. His health concerns was the only thing that dropped him from being a first rounder. It was a solid pick and in the 3rd round you are often gambling on guys with upside. They don't always pan out.

This is big for his development. He needs to be on the practice field every second he physically can be.

Super lucky, I was expecting a much more severe injury.
