The usual turd MNF opening week doubleheader Dallas/Jets should be fun. Real coin flip if Dallas will be solid or not - all depends on Tony Romo: Funslinger. NO/GB will be a good opener.
Hell yeah football's back!!!!!!!!!!!!! <iframe width="420" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/uXLUZ7Ix-1U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I have a 7 PM night class all the way up in Tomball and I can't skip this week because I have to do a presentation
Near my old stompin' grounds. I don't understand the obsession with the Chargers. Sure, they're probably the favorite to come out of the AFC West, but they didn't even make the playoffs last year, despite putting up good stats. They didn't really add anything this offseason (that I remember...other than Bob Sanders), and lost Daren Sproles. Why are they once again some people's trendy Super Bowl pick?
1) New special teams coach 2) Best D and O last year 3) Weak division 4) Jackson not holding out/in camp on time 5) Mathews ankle finally not sprained 6) Gates' plantar tear finally healed 7) LaBoy, Spikes, and Phillips make for an amazing LB corp 8) Weddle, Cason, and Jammer should help Sanders be effective again I am super bullish on the Bolts. If it weren't for the Patriots, I'd have them in the Superbowl.
They didn't make the playoffs because of special teams, they had the number 1 defense and offense. They solved the problem with a new special teams coach who led the Bucs ST's to the Superbowl. They added Takeo Spikes (speaks for himself), Na'il Diggs (started next beason for quite some years), Travis Laboy (great pass rusher of the bench), Bob Sanders (speaks for himself). Sproles had a **** season, I mean I loved the little guy but he was becoming too predictable. Our offense is stacked, like always, and our defense is solid with a massive D-Line (Garay, Liuget [1st rd pick], Castillo), our secondary is solid with Jammer, Cason, Sanders and Weddle. If we can stop the run and stay healthy, I can see us catching the number 1 seed.
