Astros pitchers were outstanding today, a shame they didn't get rewarded.

Garcia was in to pinch run. I'm not too familiar w/ his speed, but if he just gunned it right on contact like he should have... I say yes, would have scored.

Well, seems like we failed to do **** against Kikouckkuihi. Better luck next time. We still won 3 out of 4.

I have no qualms w/ today's lineup. Kikuchi has an over .900 OPS against righties. Just gotta tip your cap, he shut our righties down!

The only move I question is pinch hitting Tucker instead of Brantley.

At least we're not facing Glasnow in the series. He's been unhitable this season!

He should devote half his salary to the Astros lineup from game 5 2019.... they fixed his "glitch".

I am so happy Dusty just lines up the best hitters first and the worst hitters last. 6-9 hitters are MINOR LEAGUE FOOTBALL!!

And thank the lord that we started Luis Garcia and his ridiculous windup over Kent Emanuel.

Uhhh....Garcia gave up 1 run. You consider that a problem?

I don't see that as a problem, but I preferred that we give Emanuel another start after what he showed last time. I don't really view Garcia with that much optimism.

    Garcia wasn't the problem.

I never said he was. I just want Emanuel to get another chance.

With the way Click operates I won't be surprised for him to just send Emanuel back down....

Garcia has given up 6 runs in 5 games/20 innings and has an ERA of less than 3. You don't replace that in the line-up to give someone a chance.

Not much optimism? 200+ innings in the minors with a 2.5 ERA, 12+ Ks per 9 innings, 1.16 WHIP, 24 years old. What's there not to be optimistic about.

Meanwhile, Emanuel is a 29 year old career minor leaguer with a 4.7 ERA and 1.4 WHIP and 7 Ks per 9 innings. He had a phenomenal debut and I suspect we will see him pitch again.

True his minor stats are really solid. It just seems like he runs out of gas by the 4th inning. It's irrational, but I can't stand his gimmicky wind up.

I'm sure we'll see Emanuel pitch again, but I thought it would have made sense to let him get a spot start yesterday.

Anyway, back to my original post. I also pointed out my hatred of Dusty's unbalanced lineups. Obviously that was the bigger issue yesterday.

For tonight, what will be Lance McCullers' newest excuse?

Astros use tandem starters A LOT in the minors. Expect most of our young pitchers to "run out of gas" by the 4th or 5th inning early in their career.
