Phillies were 17-1 against Houston in the 1962 expansion season.

Springer back, Brantley resting. With Alvarez being human this could be another close one, just get the W.

3 rookies getting regular PA's right now.

Overall I really like what I've seen from Toro. He needs to get the ball in the air more, but his overall discipline and approach looks solid, never seemed even a little overmatched. His arm is spectacular and he moves much better than I was lead to believe.

He doesn't seem to have a clear spot on the team next season, but he gives us some options. Particularly important with Mr.Glass always being bothered by something.

Nevermind: missed the part about the 5th starter being bullpen games. It seems like that's the same as Valdez starting...

Hernandez has an era 6.02 and a whip of 1.45, look for a close low scoring game.

And no one will be expected to pitch 4-6 innings.

Damn Yordan. Swing at pitches up the middle.

As good as Yordan looked before, he looks as bad right now.

Strike zone recognition is non existent for Yordan right now. The first few months we gushed at his strike zone discipline.

It's as if he believes pitchers are deathly afraid of him and assumes pitchers aren't going to challenge him up the middle. He's been staring at a lot pitches right in the zone during his cold stretch.
