Strange thing is, he was throwing strikes again and said it was the best he had felt in several starts. Next start vs. Oakland at home would be a nice one for him to put it all back together, he's pitched great against them this year (last one in July was his best start of the year). If he struggles again, who knows?
Missing 3 out of the top 7 in the lineup is making the 5-9 spots a little cringe worthy. Hopefully they can give Verlander some run support.
We've knocked the **** out of this guy twice this year, for whatever that's worth, which is nothing really.
Alvarez got FOUR pitches right over the center of the plate. Couldn't do anything with them. Disappointing. He is definitely struggling.
Not sure why they put Chirinos so far up on the lineup, but he's in the perfect place to kill momentum, unfortunately.
Feast or famine in recent Verlander starts. Scored 15 in the game got ejected but 1 and 2 in the others with a goose egg so far tonight.
Just had a feeling Bregs was gonna do something big. If the rest of the team wasn't, he was. He's good enough to do it. That ball was crushed.
If Bregman finishes the season with 1.000 OPS, 0.300 AVG, 100+ RBI's, 100+ walks, 100+ runs, on a 100+ team, and doesn't win MVP......
