You really think that Kamala's narrative won't continue to revolve around stupid rumors and linking her to Obama because of a few choice comments? Lets revisit on page 17. I'll be happy to be wrong in this case.
dude, lighten up. The Obama reference was a light-hearted attempt at a joke. I agree with you that Harris is the strongest Democratic candidate by far, thus far. Sorry @fchowd0311 , that's just how I see it.
You must be one of the fake liberals who doesn't actually know what the word means... It has been coopted by progessives unfortunately.
Kamala Harris Is Running For President In 2020 Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) announced Monday that she will be running for president in 2020. The theme of Harris’ campaign will be “For the people,” and she is expected to formally announce her candidacy in a speech on Jan. 27 in Oakland, California. Elected to the Senate in 2016, Harris made history as the first Indian-American to serve in the body, as well as just the second black woman. As attorney general of California for six years, she was the first woman, African-American and Indian-American in that role. Harris announced her presidential bid on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and her campaign’s logo and color scheme draw inspiration from the 1972 presidential bid of Shirley Chisholm, the first black woman to run for the presidency from one of the major parties. As this article from the Huffington Post shows, it is pretty obvious what the basis and central theme of her campaign is going to be.
If I'm on Trump team, I would be playing the divide and conquer game. Plants those division and drive hatred within. There is a significant segment of the left that is vulnerable to that. They aren't so different from the Trump cult followers. So, yes, absolutely let the process play out and the DNC better be careful with any bias toward any candidate. The attacks on favoritism, corruptions, unfairness, etcs will be replayed no matter what the DNC does.
I think that he can inspire, I have never had a problem with her ability to inspire people. The problem is that she plays petty political games too often and can be divisive. I could be wrong but I believe a lot of people are sick of the political games at this point after Trump.
[Premium Post] I am shocked and disgusted that Obama would objectify Senator Harris in such a way and reduce her to being an object of sexual attraction. This offends even the mildest proponent of Womens' Rights. As the runner up in the 2016 President Election once famously stated, "Womens' rights are Civil Rights." Some might argue that her statement rings hollow since her husband was a serial philanderer and abuser of women and the 2016 runner up viciously attacked her husband's accusers, but that's a topic for another day. Obama has been prone to outbursts of toxic masculinity. Recall the notorious airplane pose in which he attempts to impress/lure female reporters by prominently displaying his erection. Spoiler Some have argued that another major issue that will hurt Kamala Harris' engagement with female black voters is her marriage to a white, cisgender male. Obama's marriage to Michelle and his attendance at Trinity United Church in Chicago really helped burnish his urban voter credentials and overcome his privileged background. Will Kamala Harris' situation afford her the same benefits? Signs point to no, and that, among other highly worrisome issues, could ultimately doom her candidacy. GOOD DAY
I am just happy thyere are a number of interesting candidates. Speaks to a deep bench. Hopefully through the process of leaning more about each (through speaking events, interviews, debates) the best candidate(s) will rise to the top.
Yeah...... you guys lost that card when you supported Trump for the nomination and he won. No one is going to care about allegations that Harris slept her way to the top. Why? Because Trump was "raw dogging" a pornstar/prostitute while his wife was still recovering from giving birth to their disabled son. So there really is nothing that the democratic candidate can do, short of murdering crippled children that will register as a scandal based on what the man in the oval office has done.
I don't think you are pointing out any inconsistency. Was the comment about Kamala's looks unwelcome? If so, then yes, it was harassment. If not then no it wasn't harassment and there was no inconsistency at all.
