    um, why? it's called money, potential, and complete control. We have certain pieces on this team that are not being utilized. Good future and potential perhaps, but no without a tried and tested guiding hand.

    This has been used too many times to justify crappy games with this franchise. I've used it too. It's tired.

    If this team is a legit playoff caliber team, it finds a way to beat the NY Jets with their rookie QB at home. Their division is too tough otherwise. This is one on the schedule you circle as a win in a conference where 10 wins is what it takes.

    I'm just saying that its asking a lot for those older guys to still have that sort of drive/stamina in them to rebuild an entire organization.

    Now a guy like Gruden could potentially come in here and kick enough ass in a short amount of time to get something going short-term. Obviously his schtick wears thin after a few years, but he'd have a firm grasp of what this team lacks and what this team should be capable of.
