They should give us at least one next year. Maybe another Battle Red Day against the Titans this time.

But there is still 4 more games this year. If the defense keeps playing like this and Schaub can be healthy by next game, 8-8 is not out of the realm of possibility, though 7-9 seems more likely.

Couldn't have played a better game. Granted, as some said, J'ville simply quit. The Texans pounded them early and they simply gave up. I'm not sure there was even a defense on the field for Slaton's 2nd td. Mario was a f***ing stud. Credited for 3 sacks and a fumble (I'd be willing to bet they take that 2nd sack away after reviewing it).

Either way, it was a great night for Houston and for the Texans.

Actually, the Texans decide what day is Battle Red Day after the schedule is released. The NFL isn't going to give it to us because of Battle Red.

I think we'll get at least one prime-time game next year, though maybe not MNF. I could see another Thursday night.

Doesnt every team get atleast a Thursday night game if they're not on MNF or SNF. I could be wrong but sure it seems like it.

Nope. Not on purpose anyway. If I'm not mistaken last year was the Texans first prime-time game in at least 2 or 3 years. The only ones I remember before that were the Cowboys, Packers, and an embarrasing loss to Seattle all on SNF, and I think those were in '02, '04, and '05 respectively.

Per wiki: We are 6-2 on Battle Red day. We've played JAX 5 times, winning four of those games. Hey, I guess if you want a winner...Red + Jags

It was great to see Houston have the spotlight on MNF...The second half was better than the first and it was great to see Slaton have a tremendous game...

on a side note, one of the chronicle pics of the game has this old lady tailgating with a button on her jacket that says..."Dallas Sucks"...I love it... :D

That was kind of cool to get a little taste of what it would be like to have a team that mattered. Maybe someday soon, we will.

I LOVED that they kept zooming in on Jack Del Taco's face all night. He just looked like there were a million places he would rather be. He looked like he was ready to go crawl under a rock far far away from Reliant and lay shivering in a fetal position.

Someone posted earlier in this thread that J-ville radio guys were saying the team has quit on Jack Del Taco. Watching that 4 quarter last night, it looks like that was the case. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy either.

    Suck it, Del Taco.

I haven't forgiven him for coaching one of his special teams players to take out JJ Moses.

The O-line has finally become one with gibbs zone scheme. They just need to be more intimidating. To start of, WInston's alias should be the Nightslasher

Last night was my Super Bowl. Go Texans!

Side note: Del Rio has lost that team.

Jack Del Rio is a douchebag. Onside kick in the 3rd quarter?

I saw something weird in the box score that I need some of you great football minds to explain to me.

--The only Jax QB listed with any stats was Garrard.
--Somehow, Garrard is also listed as a receiver, 1 reception, -6 yards. Who threw it to him?

Seriously, did he throw himself a screen?

They did on onside kick against us in the 1st or 2nd quarter a year or two ago. And it worked. If they had scored in the first half, I think he would have tried it then too and it would have had a better chance of succeeding because it would have been more unexpected. Historically, the Texans usually fall for Del Rio's tricks.
