when you need the umps to go blind for 1/8 of a second, they don't.

Didn't have a clear view of if he actually tagged him, but also no proof he didn't. Interesting to know if the call was 'upheld' or 'confirmed'.

If only Springer's foot doesn't pronate when he slides head first.

It was a good send. Took a good relay and improbable tag to get him out.

Tag made on the foot. That's what the ump saw and that's what the replay seemed to show.

Not to mention Springer's stutter step to touch second base.

I don't think he was anticipating a total misplay by Heyward. He would have made it to 3rd regardless.

If that run scored they very well could have ruled it an error.

That was the difference or it wouldn't have been that close

...because he wasn't running full speed or paying attention where the base was because he was busy waiting to see if a blooper landed with 2 outs.

From one angle it was completely obvious he missed the tag on the foot. No homer here.

All they have to do is get 6 outs and pray Giles doesn't give up his normal 1 run per inning

Bingo, he makes a good turn and he's safe by feet.

I agree and I am not laying blame on his running...but had he not stutter stepped, he would have been safe.

More worried about Gregerson. As usual.
