Looks like I'm probably gonna cut the chord. I plan on eliminating my cableTV bundle and also some streaming services. I plan to bootleg everything. I've been willing to pay money (and a LOT of money, really) for media, but the costs just keep going up and up, while the availability and service just keeps getting worse and worse. As more and more streaming services pop up and less and less media is available on cable tv, I'm motivated more and more to just bootleg the whole damn thing. Fed up with it.
I really want to cut the cord but I am so anxious about it, its like if I don't have the right channels I will freak, seriously, I have Xfinity and my bill is $197 (with internet) a month and I get showtime, I only had it for a few shows that are now over. I bet I only truly watch 20 channels and I have over a hundred that are just dumb to me. My BIL just got FUBO and he says it`s decent but he is still paying almost $150 with internet
We're paying about $150 for YouTube TV and Fidium 2 GB/s fiber. Our Consolidated TV and 1GB package was about $300/mon so we saved about half with new package. btw, Fidium appears to be the same as Consolidated, at least from an internet POV. It appears Consolidated is dropping the TV part. Feel free to ask any additional questions.
I did, until a couple of weeks ago. Seems that MLB did a mass IP ban hammer for a lot of VPN servers. I heard Nord still works well. I was using GoogleONE vpn since it was free with my storage account.
YouTube TV is Reportedly The Only Live TV Provider To Add Subscribers In The 2nd Quarter of 2023 (Cable TV or Streaming)
I tried the MLB.tv thing with VPN two or three years ago and it rarely worked. Have Fubo now + Xfinity internet. I think I'm around $120 for both.
Could be the answer we need for sports. If they bought all of the RSNs, it would solve everyone's problems. But if they monopolize and raise prices to ridiculous levels, then we're all screwed
