Was Nico heavily covered that CJ had to throw to Noah Brown, Dell, and Dalton? Only had 5 targets....
dumb question, but does Stroud get credit for all the yards on this play in the stat sheet? or does singletary get half? who gets credited with the rushing attempt too? dont know how option plays get marked
Not sure why, but CFB and the NFL treat those plays differently, and now I'll have to look up the how and why
Major waste of energy here: I am 100% annoyed that Slowik didn't let CJ air it out against the Panthers and Falcons. He didn't trust him for reasons I couldn't tell you, but now there is zero excuse to go back to the run first mentality. Team should be 6-2 at worst right now.
Its a league of adjustments. Sometimes you don't get to where they are now without having to adjust from what didn't work. Now teams will adjust to the pass first mentality and the Texans will have to adjust to that. The set it and forget it days of Bill Walsh and Buddy Ryan aren't walking through that door.
Yay, I look forward to the run up the middle mentality against the Bengals. We'll definitely score more than them for sure.
If teams keep daring CJ to beat them... he better be getting the play calls that put him in that position.
I just hope any coaching staff has a counter to when the original game plan is snuffed out or the opposing defense has a say. Plenty of game plans that look good on Friday don't look so good come Sunday.
Geoge Fant has been nothing but incredible for the Texans. Despite Howard's struggles at guard, there pass blocking has been largely Phenomenal. I think you pair that with CJ's ability to make the right decisions and take care of the ball, means you have to throw it A LOT! They have the talent to put up 30 plus a game. Hopefully the Texans can get a better effort from the defense moving forward.
