You don't know that. The broncos beat the steelers last week and the jaguars beat the colts, and the cowboys beat the saints. Upsets happen all the time. If they can win, then I definitely like the Texans chances in the playoffs. If this was the nba playoffs, then you would have a point because the best team almost always wins in a seven game playoff series, but in the nfl anything can happen. It amazes me that people still complaining during a nine game winning streak. Just enjoy the win.
Browns O line is legit and the pass rush did lead to multiple interceptions. Hard to find fault with 9 wins in a row. If Fuller was healthy I’d consider us real contenders but the offense is night and day without him. FG, FG, FG
What they absolutely need to do is get healthy. JJ did nothing really today because he is playing hurt. J Joe is out and you just know the team has lots of capable backup CB, NOT. Thus the wide open WR the 2nd half of the game. If, they win out, and they can, they can possibly have top 2 seat and get a bye and home game. That's when health and Watson can turn this 0 and 3, the end of the world trat of a season into something very special. Again, not saying they can beat the other 3 teams ahead of team, but anything can happen. Losing Hunt doesn't hurt Texans chances. Now if somehow KC and PATS lose today.... well then
Texans shot themselves in the foot two separate times in the red zone. They also stopped playing after the game was out of hand.
Don't know about yourself but I would like this team to have better than a "puncher's chance" to win in the playoffs. They shouldn't have to hope for an upset in order to win in the playoffs. It all starts with how you approach the game and the effort by the Texans on both sides of the ball today was simply not optimum. That's all I'm saying.
I agree with everything you said here especially the part about getting that 1st round bye. I see that as crucial to their playoff chances.
Deshaun is starting to mold towards the Tom Brady way of QBing. Extremely accurate, pushes the ball downfield, and protects the ball. Its been fun to watch. This team would be torching teams with Fuller.
I wonder if BE-SF fans feel like they have a franchise QB in Marcus Mariota still. Perhaps we could get @what in here to give us some insight into that. My personal opinion is that they are in the worst possible situation, Mariota is good enough to not get benched and to keep the team from fixing the QB situation, but not good enough to be worth a damn.
I called this. You could tell it was nothing more than a stinger, and the staff was just being cautious as this game was over before half. And for all those complaining about giving up garbage yards, thanks for the laughs. It was totally evident that in the second half, this team was just playing to keep everything in front of them. Granted, they technically didn't, but it was garbage time. The whole second half was a preseason game, essentially. That was a dominant win. The second dominant win, against slightly better than average teams, in a row. This team is picking up steam. It's starting to look like a dangerous team. If we can stay healthy, the only three teams in the league that scare me are Kansas City, New Orleans, and the Rams. I hope to God we get a chance to play either of the latter. Quit complaining, crack open your favorite beverage, and enjoy this.
I agree. The Texan game should have told them everything they needed to know. An Almost Perfect game by your QB in regards to completion percentage and you only put up 17. Mariota doesn't have the arm talent to stand in the pocket and pick you apart downfield. Dink and dunk all game long....
