Peacock is trash this year. You basically know he’s gonna blow the game each time he comes in. I love him for what he did last season, but he’s awful right now.
ouch.... bullpen gives it up yet again. offense deserves some blame too with all the RIPs . and let's toss some at hinch too. blame to go around!
man.. gleyber is pretty damn good. 5 run blown lead in the 9th and 2 run blown lead in the 9th in the past 3 days
Honestly, I am kind of glad the bullpen explosion is happening now. Maybe it will light a fire under Luhnow to make some moves. We were so lucky to win the World Series with starters out of the pen.
Bad bullpen can be pretty deflating. Uneasy feeling going to a bad pen when the lead is close. Astros aren't as bad as other pens in the league but the pen is still a concern.
Can someone please gif that postgame chick getting pelted with chewing gum? The interview was already awkward and uncomfortable and then she gets hit in the head with hard bubble gum... am I the only one who saw that on the Yankees feed? lol
Leadoff walks in the 9th, going 3-17 with RISP, the lack of a closer, burning potential closers in meaningless innings, not taking full advantage of slapdick defense by the other team and a little bad luck will all lead to horsesh!t like we just saw.
The guy who blows the save deserves blame. The manager then deserves blame if there was a better option that went unused. This loss stems from the idiotic bullpen management on Sunday. Compounded on Monday. In the long run, getting Smith and Rondon on track should allow Hinch to use those guys more in leverage, but non-save situations (like yesterday). Still have no clue of McHugh’s ability to pitch regularly... at this point, it seems like he just can’t.
