Wow is our offense is so broken right now. Exactly what is the difference between us and the royals, tigers, or orioles other than a good regular season and two stud pitchers
for these playoffs the only difference is what we COULD do. Not what we are doing. I thought that foul taste last year would motivate us. Guess not
It's been one of those nights for sure, but you just can't wait around for the law of averages to come back in your favor. The game is over before then. And this is the playoffs, so these games aren't throwaways. I don't exactly know what you do. It just seems like runs aren't constructed any more. I almost kind of miss the automatic pitcher sac bunt in the NL. You play the game for the hit nowadays, even though you only have a 2-3 in 10 chance of getting one. It's like the Rockets choosing to lose a game when their threes aren't falling rather than trying anything else.
Saw this on ESPN: “Something to chew on: With that Cameron Maybin single, the Yankees now have 11 hits on 16 hard-hit balls in the series (those with exit velocities of at least 95 miles per hour). The Astros have four hits on 15 hard-hit balls.” Despite the results, the offensive approach hasn’t been anywhere as atrocious as people seem to think this series.
Talking out of my ass here: I blame the weather. Astros hitters were used to playing at home in warm weather, so balls were traveling farther. Cold front came in = fly balls dropping in.
Reading thru this and you swear we down 50-1. Some of you guys are depressing and whining. Come on bros bring some new content. It's only half time, I remember now why I dont read the garm. -every rockets fan.
I’m at peace with the idea that a team who can’t score runs doesn’t deserve to advance. Either they get it going offensively or they don’t deserve to win. It’s a shame, because they are better than this, but **** happens!
