This historical season just keeps getting more historical. This team has rewritten a whole chapter in the mlb history handbook.
Pressly had like 20plus pitches right? I wouldn’t have brought him out again. James unfortunately needed a couple batters to find his location but came through big.
It's because things go by so fast for those other two. Baseball, tension is always so high because you have to watch the result. With football it's like a car crash sometimes, you blink and boom, your team blew the game because Jacoby Jones could not field a punt (still not over that) or with Basketball even if you're down ten you know you can get right back.
I don't mind either on the mound next inning, James or Smith, but pull em first base runner because we've seen James blow up before. Smith is a little more reliable over his long career.
Harris in the 7th? Or Harris in the 8th? Who would pitch the inning Harris isn't? Peacock who hasn't pitched forever or Smith who allowed a homer in game 3? Don't trust Abreu and shouldn't put him in this situation. Rendon??
Well if you look at his overall work, he was still all over the place and I think we are relatively lucky to get out of that inning only giving up 2 runs...if this was a regular season game i would stay with him...postseason baseball where literally everything is magnified, im not so sure
