Let them get all of their HRs out now. That's fine, regression will settle itself.

Miley is absolute trash...can't say it enough. Wouldn't trust him as the back up bat boy. Pitiful.

This is why Hinch conceded this game putting a guy like Miley in. He's trash at this point. This game could still be much closer if you put a competent pitcher in there.

Or gives them confidence and hope going into latter games.

I fully expect the Astros to eventually win this series but Miley is a wasted PO spot. **** awarding him with a PO spot because of the first 5 months of the season. I was afraid Hinch would be tempted to use his useless ass if he was on the roster.

They will be feeling good about themselves going into next game - which can be dangerous - but with Verlander/Cole staring them down, Im sure the Rays will come back down to earth real quick.

As he should. It takes a lot to fall out of favor with AJ. He's been very consistent over the years with letting guys prove themselves unworthy. They get more chances than most managers would give them. Luhnow is on board as well. There's always a legitimate reason if someone is let go.

I think we need to let our batting coach go after this season.

Springer needs a reset right here to get him going.

Miley will take this game to the finish line. I would rather have him in there to close the game than using all of our good relievers to do it.

Assuming Miley doesn't implode, we just got an extra day of rest for the entire relief staff (outside of Rondon).

The other option is you put one of the rookies in there, but there's no guarantee that one of the kids would be able to put up 4 solid innings and they're not really good enough (yet) to put in high leverage situations.

Have no problem saving the horses in the bullpen for tomorrow.

If Urquidy can have a solid game and go 5 innings we can then use harris, pressly, Osuna, verlander to finish off the series.
Look for Verlander to pitch 2 innings.
However...look for Glasnow to also pitch 2 innings tomorrow.

If Urquidy pitches well, that will put a lot of our minds at ease as to the 4th starter problem.

    Astros will close out tomorrow.

We lost game 3 to the Red Sox in 2017 ALDS 10-3.

Game 4 we won 5 to 4. Morton went 4.1 inninings, verlander went 2.2, Giles went 2.

Smith will probably get an inning. Personally I hope Osuna closes it out

I hope Springer isn't in the middle of one of his lengthy head scratching slumps. This is horrible timing for it.

The problem is when Miley came in this game was still winnable. With Rays staring at elimination those buts could have gotten tight with it being just 5-3 right now. Miley just allowed the flood gates to be wide open.

Same thing he did in 2017 oddly enough. Let's hope he can break out of it before the WS (assuming we make it that far).
