Average AL pitcher is ERA 4.58 and WHIP 1.34. Both of those rates would be top 10 among qualified AL starting pitchers.
It might be pretty unfair to him, but he doesn't inspire a ton of confidence for me. He's thrown out there like he is Verlander or Cole, but he's not that level of pitcher. He gave up 5 runs last time he faced the Rays. Of course on the flip side, he dominated the A's this year, so maybe they would have been a better matchup for him.
Correa still doesn't have his timing down. Frustrating to watch his plate appearances, regardless of result. Not a lot of solid contact.
Wish Tucker could have done better in the game 2 to give Hinch more confidence in using him moving forward. Reddick isn't much of a threat at the plate at this point.
