you keep referring to blummer when it has 0 to do with this and your original post that the A's are keeping the stros from resting tuve and springer. The stros have been giving guys days off throughout the season and obviously still doing so
So in a way he is like the Astros version of Ryan Anderson but better defensively. Watching Reddick swing the bat, as little as he is, you would think he would try to swing level and try to drive the ball. He seems like he uppercuts way too much and only has enough power to mainly hit weak fly balls. If we still have him next year I hope he works on his swing or hits the gym or otherwise increases his upper body strength during the offseason. As many bats as he gets in a year he sure could help us if he could get his batting average out of the 230's.
Another disappointing at bat by I AM GROOT. Hope he gets it figured out. Thank you Bregs for the RBI.
Correa's drop off this season is unbelievable. Is the dude playing hurt? I can't fathom how a .300 hitter, .900 OPS guy falls off this dramatically going into the prime of his career.
Correa should be hitting no higher than 6th. Sometimes he needs to be hitting 7th if Springer, Altuve, Bregman, White, Gonzales and Gurriel are in the lineup too.
Yes, days off are a given dude. When people are injured they need actual rest. They’re aren’t operating in a vacuum. If the division was sewed up Springer, Altuve, and whomever else is banged up would’ve had more days “off” going down the stretch. You don’t agree? You can’t say for sure that a tweaked ankle now that isn’t rested won’t turn into a graded sprain in the next few weeks or in the playoffs won’t affect our repeat aspirations. You see how your stance is flawed? Blummer basically arguing against you has nothing to do with what we’re talking about, lol.
Correa is killing this team!! He is the LAST person on the entire roster other than the pitchers I want at the plate with runners on base. Either sit him or bat him 9th. Enough of this sh**!!
Was it just me or did Jake pause before the throw home? Almost seemed like he forgot someone was in scoring position. I’m sure he didn’t, just looked strange.
This was not a good inning. At least, for the sake of Cole's ERA, the run was unearned, and hopefully that last strikeout gets him back into a groove. But still, runs are runs, and we still need to score more and not waste RBI opportunities.
so when the division was sewed up last season were tuve, springer, and correa getting these more days off heading into the last stretch before Oct? Once again blummer and you don't correlate with your original statement
