I am firmly in the "loves 162 game season" camp. Maybe it's because I was a baseball fan and an Astros fan when our team sucked, and the only thing to enjoy about baseball season (absent any hope of the postseason) was baseball. The last thing I want is less baseball (in general, current intervening circumstances noted).
Also, no actual baseball to write about probably means more virtue-signaling and Astro-hating by the media. Yayy...
A virus is a hell of a way to shift the narrative. But even the worst Astros haters will turn their ire somewhere else with no baseball going on. I am no expert, but its hard to imagine baseball resuming until corona runs its course. Meaning, either cured, contained, or eradicated. That may take a while. It wouldn't shock me if there is no more baseball or many other sports until fall at least. Too late to restart baseball.
96-66 is my guess. The Astros will have rotation and injury issues. The team will go through dead periods and a trade for another starting pitcher helps down the stretch.
Yep.. Stros are attempting to become the FIRST team in league history with four consecutive 100+ A shortened-season would be a BS way to fall short.
March Madness now officially cancelled. Imagine this also means that no Omaha this year for CBWS. What a wild time to be alive.
Contracts will be interesting if entire seasons are cancelled. If there is no season, seems all contracts will be forwarded to the following year.
