All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PBP, that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on AT&T Sports SW unless otherwise noted. 8-28 Cristian Javier (R) vs. Chris Sale (L) 6:10 8-29 J.P. France (R) vs. Brayan Bello (R) 6:10 8-30 Framber Valdez (L) vs. Kutter Crawford (R) 3:10
Hopefully they figured out France's pitch tipping situation (or whatever it was). Not often you get to face the same team in back to back starts (minus the playoffs), let alone the one that completely hit the ever-loving **** out of you.
He should test it out on the first batter; make him think they're going low and away and then buzz the tower to let 'em know we know.
2-1 is acceptable but 3-0 offsets the disappointment of last week's split. One of Moldy's personal starts is against LH so at least there's that.
Will we see the death line-up this series? Altuve Bregman Alvarez Tucker McCormick Diaz Brantley Abreu Pena
Not against Sale. More likely against Bello... but they may also change things up with France as far as catchers go just to avoid the pitch-tipping/pitch-sequence predictability that plagued him the last start. Of course can't account for the random illness.... or banging your hand in a door frame... or tripping on your own shoelace type injuries that seem to happen weekly now.
My guess is Meyers starts today, and is off on Tuesday with the return of Brantley. What is the death lineup called when Brantley is in instead of Meyers?
Prediction: Altuve 2B Bregman 3B Yordan DH Tucker RF Chas CF Abreu 1B Julks LF Pena SS Maldy C The only issue I have is Julks needs to be on the bench. 1st choice: Diaz 2nd choice: Meyers 3rd choice: Dubon 4th choice: Singleton 6,754,368,646th choice Julks.
Cmon Javier. Pitch well for once. I think France rebounds and Framber has a good start. ? W W are my predictions.
I'm here on site. Excited to take in Fenway. Come on Astros lets get it done. Several Astros fans here yesterday on the Freedom Trail.
Nice... hope you're not in the seats that directly face CF.... or in the seats randomly behind a post. I know there's a charm to old ballparks that will always be appreciated... but that ballpark was never meant to last "this" long... and most Boston fans who attend games regularly there agree with this.
We are golden. Wife loves sitting where she can see the players going into the dugout. So we are on 3rd baseline just past the dugout. 5 rows deep. Once in a lifetime chance to get up here and the game tickets weren't that bad. $110 each. Seems crazy to say that after watching about 20 Astros games for $80 in the Dome during the mid 80's.
