You have to stop that ball at second, regardless of the outcome you cannot let that runner get to third!!! Horrible.
I have to yet to see McCann actually throw the ball all the way to second base this year. Always a hop.
Not as big a deal with 2 outs, but that throw from McCann was putrid - didn't have a chance to get him even with a good throw with that terrible pop up.
Really, McCann shouldn't even bother throwing it to avoid situations like just happened. It's a better chance he screws up the throw than the odds of him throwing out a runner. I know he can't do that, though, because everyone would run uncontested.
