Kind of lame but thank NBA Jam on Super Nintendo. I was in like 4th/5th grade and always played as Houston so I just started following them then the next year they won their first title. I was sold for life. :D

It's funny also that the two kids I played against the most in that game were Jazz and Sonics fans -- it's only natural that I would be battling them.

I couldn't get to sleep last night after watching this nightmare of an extra-inning game. The Astros had so many chances and blew them all. It was ridiculous how many hits they had. Yet, they couldn't push across a single run to win it after having the bases loaded a few times in extra innings.

They deserved to lose this one. I'm pissed off at this team right now. The Pirates freaking own us.

He was swinging, just not doing much. First AB with the bases loaded he just rolled over a breaking ball & tapped it to 3rd. Same with the AB with Lee on 2nd, didn't even try to go to RF. Looked like he was dead pull on everything.

The 2 balls he hit on the screws he hit right at them. Them's the breaks.

Anyone catch Burke's awesome throw home from CF? Counted about 3 fundamental mistakes on that play.

Burke is terrible. I don't understand why he is even in the line-up. He should be in AAA working on his game. That guy stinks in more ways than one.

Last year, it was going 5-10 vs. Cincy, a team they had just owned since 2000, that cost the Stros the Central....

Burke leads off with a double. Let's see if the Ashos can get him home with zero outs.

Lance Berkman's OPS is barely higher than Burke's; should Lance be in AAA too?

he has a track record of being a great player, Burke is a overrated player playing out of position. Well at best he is unproven.

It's really amazing how many major league baseball players have batting stances that should have been corrected in little league...

How is he overrated? Please explain, and show evidence of someone rating him highly.

Again, who and how? Examples, please. Burke's a solid player with good speed who's likely to post an OPS in the mid .700s given a full season. Nothing more, nothing less. He's not a star, but he's very useful, and I think too many of you guys think every player who isn't a superstar sucks.
