I think the Astros may have walked into this game thinking it would be a bit of a cakewalk. Bad team by the numbers, and they're just coming off utterly terrorizing the Rockies. Nah, this team is frustrated about losing. And they have nothing to lose in terms of the playoffs. If they can keep a team like the Astros on a tight leash, they're not going to roll over. That's a trophy buck to take down.
As tight as the friendship is between Springer and Brantley, they could not be more different batters. It really surprises me that none of Uncle Mike's composure at the plate has rubbed off on George, who still wildly overswings on balls and is just very unpredictable at the plate. George obviously is very emotional about the game, but that's a double-edged sword. Need to turn that into a single-edge, George.
*exhales* Julia post-game: "I have with me the Astros stalwart that got the final out. Its name is 'The Shift.'"
