Whatever it is, Bud allows his first hit to the pitcher.

Thanks a lot.... whoever posted that in this thread.... maybe I should just put the "ignore" on now so I don't see it again.

    Bud is doing great.

Sucks that he gave up a hit though.

You tell me why I shouldn't? Especially after I see a pitcher on first base right now.

I know no one likes to here a no hitter called before it happens, but come on. A post on a random forum on the interweb doesn't have any pull with what the outcome will be.

    LOL.

Although, I'll bring the torches! :p

Because it's irrational, illogical, ridiculous and dumb

So are most superstitions, especially in sports, but you still don't mess with it.

Exactly, I was referring to superstitions like this in general, and I'll mess with it if I like, because it doesn't make a slight jot of difference.

Still an ongoing hell of an effort from David Stefan Norris, Jr.

I don't have a problem with somebody who has no idea what he's doing, and mentions things inadvertantly... but I do have a problem with people intentionally deciding to mess with things just because they think its fun.

I don't care if you don't believe in it... at least respect the fact that there is a superstition, and you just crapped all over it.

In fact, you simply made it all hold true... guy mentions a no-hitter, and next batter gets a hit. You may have just made me even more a believer in it.

Norris does have his share of "WTF" lapses in command.

Norris looks good so far. It'll be nice now that we're out of contention to kick back and watch some of the prospects.

So you believe if anyone anywhere in the world talks about a no-hitter, it will be jinxed?

You think when Buehrle and Sanchez had their games this season, no fan anywhere ever mentioned it?

they aren't lapses, he just doesn't have great command. that was one of the knocks on him.
