Feliz has been just as long-relief... just that he's been getting it primarily in extra innings.

With men on base, I want the guy who has more K potential... less worry about a BABIP conundrum (which basically happened), which was probably Hinch's thought process.

 

Graveman's fastball down from 94-96 to 92 .... He is losing some velocity and trying to mix in more cutters. Don't know we will get a shot next inning against him.

 

That feat is actually more rare than no-hitters... should have been head-lining sportscenter.

 

I will absolutely guarantee that if Hinch knew Feliz would walk 3 guys in a row, he would never have brought him in.

 

This. Long relief has nothing to do with it, you're just trying to get out of that one inning with no more damage. Feliz couldn't find the plate with a map, it happens.

 

I hope he gets the opportunity. That means he gets at least 3 more at bats.

If it was a later inning situation or less than two outs I would agree. Just felt Feldman in that spot of the game was the better choice. Just my opinion.

 

For a team with only one player hitting better than .280 and no starting pitcher with sub 3 ERA and yet have one of the best records in the league; Hinch has done a good job this season.
