    McCullers and Garcia will pitch more innings than Framber this season. This always ends with surgery, delaying it only delays when Framber can return which takes him through the rest of his arbitration years.

    There are recent examples just here alone where guys came back and contributed (Lance 2018).

    But there is also some grey area between inflammation and a fully torn UCL.

    Framber is a UFA in 2026. If he has Tommy John, he won’t pitch until July 2025 and even then would be a lighter load.
    Kills his free agency.

    I’m sure Framber is going to flip over every stone before settling for surgery.
