TBH I think he'd be worse, he's getting put in favorable situations by Hinch.

    Bergman now: .244, 7 HR, 23 RBI

Correa at this time last year: .257, 9 HR, 33 RBI

Not saying Bregman will be the next Correa, but don't give up on him yet.

Toronto just took the lead in the 9th on the Rangers, just keep extending this division lead.

Nobody should be giving up on Bregman, regardless.

On another note, it would be great if Beltran broke out soon.

I'm holding off... Reddick is back on Tuesday. ;)

Marisnick is in a good place now. More AB's doesn't automatically = more production. If anything, more sample sizes on his new-found power tendencies for pitchers to try and exploit.

But if Beltran continues to struggle, Bregman continues to hit like a 9-hole hitter, Gattis stays inconsistent, and any of the big 3 go into a prolonged slump... Marisnick is going to need to continue whatever the hell it is he's doing to not just improve, but put a pounding on some of these balls.

Been waiting the whole season for this to happen. Crazy because he hit .295 last year with 29 bombs and 93 rbi, how has he become a shell of his former self in such quick and dramatic fashion.

I really don't think they're going to trade him. Too much to lose in potential production both now and in the future... for a guy who's not necessarily a top-flight ace.

And while Bregman busted out last year, and gave everybody aspirations of potential MVP-level type hitting, I still look at him as the high-floor/decent ceiling prospect that he was purported to be when he was selected #2 overall... the type of guy that's pretty damn important to winning championships.

I've posted his career 1st/2nd half splits before. This isn't that absurd for him..he's definitely had multiple seasons where he's slumped through a half and then dominated through another. I don't expect him to turn into a stud, but I do think he can easily still have a productive 2nd half / we don't need to give up.
