Bregman has crappy hitting ability. He is just really good at recognizing pitches. Too bad he can't hit them anymore.

I can't help wondering why he hasn't been taught a better batting stance. Maybe it's as simple as that. Maybe not.

 

4 stranded in the first 2 innings. Bases loaded with no outs, 1 run. Then leadoff double followed by 3 choke at bats.

Where can I make a bet that I pay $5 whenever an Astros leadoff double results in a run, and they pay me $5 whenever the player is stranded?

Bregman simply hasn't been good enough for this team this year. He's been a good on base guy with a sporadic glove at times this year and streaky. Not good enough.
