Because some will. I mean, I don't think a couple of games makes a difference, but eventually some peoples opinions will change as he succeeds.
Manaea's injury may help. Their rotation is their weakness. Hopefully this week is the week we figure out MMP.
Regarding Osuna... time heals most wounds. I doubt most people's first thought of Vick is dog-fighting, or rape with Kobe. Champman's situation is barely mentioned currently and that happened just two years ago. The world keeps turning, and time waits for no one.
As an outspoken critic of the deal, I still view it - and the Astros' actions around it - unfavorably. Part of the displeasure was the choice it was going to force me to at least reconcile, and I hate it. But I want the team to win and Osuna will undoubtedly be a big part of it. I'll say this, the Astros have absolutely transformed their bullpen into something that should be a strength. McHugh, Pressly & Rondon have the potential to shut down innings 7-9; heck, possibly even 6-9.
The case hasn't been resolved yet. I think when details of the case or some kind of resolution is released we will find out if those wounds were really healed. For me, I'm in a holding pattern. Having some kind of resolution to his case will definitely help a lot of us move on.
