I can't really see it, but heard a guy speculating the other week that the batters can tell if Miley is throwing a fastball or offspeed based on his arm angle when he throws.
Is Miley going to force their hand to have Urquidy as the 4th starter in the playoffs? Is that really a better option?
Its not a great sign when I don't know what the score is, I read this thread, then check the score expecting the worst... and its only 3-0 and I feel optimistic that Miley didn't get rocked "that bad". I think Peacock or bullpen game will end up being 4th playoff starter if rest doesn't benefit Wade.
Why is he pulling Miley? It's the defense's fault for shifting when he goes opposite field and not shifting when they hit the ball hard.
you have to think its fatigue. He's been a pretty good pitcher all year and mentally knows how to stay in a game. I'd venture a guess he's battling with some dead arm issues.
Somebody suggested this a couple of his starts ago. I wouldn't mind them trying it in his last reg season start. He's the 4th starter out of 4 in the postseason, who else is there? Yall want to try the "bullpen game", which they haven't done all season unless out of total necessity with fill-ins?
Miley had set himself up for a nice contract with his pitching during the 1st 5 months of the season but now he may be looking at a 1 year prove it contract for the second year in a row.
