I'm disappointed. Not the slightest bit surprised given how much Rondon has sucked, but disappointed nonetheless. At this point once can accurately say this is a poor call on Hinch.
Extremely predictable. Rondon has single-handedly kept the team from just about wrapping up the division this home stand. Verlander loses another chance at a win. He should have over 20 wins easily.
Hinch will figure this out one game too late. Win probability is 5 percent when you score 1 run and we’ve done that 4 times now this homestand
Hinch will do this every now and then to see if he can get a bounce back outing from a struggling reliever in a high pressure situation. Better now than in the playoffs but we all saw this coming and I’d rather have just seen Smith out there.
Even more reason not to put a shaky pitcher in the game when the offense is struggling. Offense is still up and down too often at home but this is poor managing this inning by Hinch.
Lance McCullers needs to get ready to go in the pen so we can push Rondon into the 5-6th inning role.
As a manager your job is to give your team the best chance to win and Hinch fails to do it once again!
