Who would have thought that putting up runs would be the main issue for this team from the end of last season?
That Harris pitch was low and away, he just went down and got it. Both of their RBI hits were off of pretty tough pitches.
Yeah ... I don’t get the fire the hitting coach either. Just sometimes guys have down years or bad timing.
Correa is next to useless at the plate right now. He looks absolutely horrible. The whole offense is pitiful tonight but it continues to be frustrating seeing one of the projected cornerstones of the franchise look like absolute **** at the plate.
He is very much a timing hitter. When he got hurt I was afraid he would struggle with his timing. He still has time to turn it around, the Astros don’t play in the WC game for awhile. I think he gets it straightened out.... just no fun now.
He has to get it straightened out. The team just can't go as far as we would like them if this is the Correa we get down the stretch.
Harris is lucky he is on the big league club at this point... the Astros have a lot of capable arms, Harris’ stuff just isn’t good and the performance isn’t good.
A's getting their asses handed to them. Possible missing a good opportunity to move up a game on them.
Good. Create some distance. I already hate Oakland far more than I'll ever hate Seattle. Yes, I hate Cano, but they have Cruz, who is unslanderable because he denied the Rangers the WS. Harris got his ERA back below 4 (barely), but he did give up two hits and three runs (inherited). I really hope Hinch doesn't waste a postseason roster spot with him, his obsession with Harris in tight situations is sickening.
Absolutely agree Nook. He'll pull one outta his arse now and again...but by and large you're dead when he comes in...4.13 ERA...not like he's pitching 4 or 5 innings.
