Guess I haven’t seen enough games. Most of the ones I’ve seen he’s smothered them

 

I sure would've started a hot Vasquez over Maldy but Dusty has been managing so well so what do I know?

 

Hopefully Lance can get through the 4th, but Dusty will have a quick hook with 9-1-2 due up.

 

The fact that no one was going in the bullpen makes me think Dusty is going to ride Lance until the wheels fall off or he crashes. At least Lance looked more like himself that inning, but he's putting some pitches in the middle of the plate that scare the crap out of me with the top of the order coming up.

 

Maldy drew a walk in the last inning and scored on Pena's homer. Dusty is making the right calls.

 

Lance looks fine to me. A little rusty but he is disciplined enough to last a few more.

 

Maldanado has been getting on base more
Consistently than many of the stros

 

I like Lance but he doesn't have it going tonight, he will give up more runs. We don't need more innings out of him, we have a deep, deep bullpen. Leverage it.
