1st observation- USA's defense kicks up a notch as soon as Battier goes in.

2nd observation- Dwight Howard is going to be a beast in the NBA.

Anyone else worried? Don't like all those missed threes and scared play against the zone.

But you have to love that defense...

    BATTIER SAVES THE BALL!!

OK, that's enough commentary for now.

Refs are calling a very one-sided game so far.

The Puerto Ricans are a bunch of punks. They are the instigitators and when they get hit back they can't take it.

Down 1 after the 1st quarter, zone screwing them up again, but the refs are obviously on Puerto Rico's side. They need to just accept that because it's not going to change unless they play Iraq or Iran so just kick their asses 5 against 7.

Brand is such a ball hog... :p

Man I love Arroyos game. He is so ballsy. Its so great watching an NBA scrub with balls and heart take it to the all star team.

Team USA is catching fire, especially Carmelo and Joe Johnson...

Arroyo is a baby, he's lucky that the entire Puerto Rican team is dedicated to making him the star, therefore he looks a lot better than he really is.

Yes, we need a guy to give opponents those types of cheap shots.. :D

Coach K needs to make some defensive adjustments ASAP.

And get Joe Johnson and Kirk Hinrich some more playing time dangit. I'm tired of the bricklaying.

    Defensive adjustment = zone defense

Maybe camping Brand and Howard in the lane will discourage Arroyo and the other PR guards from penetrating at will.

    PR is shooting 68%!

Ha! PR's decision to play man to man D has cost them the opportunity to keep this game within reach.

I just don't understand how these international guards can penetrate so easily.

OK this is getting ugly, if they're not going to blow these dudes out at least play a pleasing brand of basketball. JJ, Carmelo, Battier, and Hinrich play ball that is nice to watch, I'm not so sure about everyone else.

I think that douchebag announcer, not Fran the other one, is rooting for Puerto Rico.

the whole US team needs to shoot free throws all day...

On a completely unrelated note, I wish everyone associated with audio - from mics to internet delivery - was forced to take an extensive class in gain structure.

I will deal with crappy compression and artifacts if it means I can hear something, but there is no excuse for digital clipping. In addition to the digital clipping is an obvious electrical hum which is most likely from a mismatched impedence or improper grounding.

    I could rant for minutes...

I took a chance and downloaded the TVU player that is linked on the website above. It works. CCTV 5 is the game.

Switched to HBO during halftime. This thing is kinda' cool.

actually I think this is the one: http://www.tvunetworks.com/downloads/index.htm
