His PFF grades for 25' were some of the best in the league and significantly better than Jake Andrews.

Even if he’s been building it for multiple years using sticky tack and popsicle sticks?

    It might get fixed.

Blake Fisher. Who has watched him closely? I’d love to get an honest assessment of his potential to be a quality starter. Or is he another Casario o-line draft bust? I’m assuming it’s too early to tell. Just haven’t watched him closely enough.

Fisher improved a lot during 2024 and looked like he would be able to take over the starting role in 2025. Unfortunately his play regressed during camp and then at the beginning of the 2025 season. Fisher did improve later in the season coming in as an extra lineman. The Texans still don't know what they have in Fisher. But as of right now, he's still on a cheap rookie contract so he will probably be the swing tackle next year unless he regresses again.

Great question. Can we move him to guard? Is he worth a damn there?

I WANT to believe in Fisher, but I have a feeling he is a Casserio bust. He showed promise year 1, but something happened and from my eye test (which doesn't mean squat) he`s gotten worse. Hope I am wrong because I don't want him playing swing tackle

I wouldn't put Fisher at Guard. He's not stocky or thick. He's more length and finesse. Fisher would be better off in a outside zone blocking scheme. He lacks the power that you would want in a tackle for a gap scheme.

Because of the plethora of elite OL linemen taken in the middle and late rounds, it almost seems comical that the Texans have struck out so badly getting OL players in the top 3 rounds. Sure that coveted LT every team yearns for is most likely going to be found at the top of the draft or at bare minimum 1st 2 rounds.

But come on, seems all the best guards, centers, and RT are being found in the 4th, 5th, 6th, etc…

Which tells me, a lot of it is about developing guys for your system. The Texans don’t have a viable OL system, they just lineup supposedly talented guys and hope something clicks,

I was ready to walk away from Ingram until the Howard deal, now:

    RT - Iheanachor (pick 28)
    RG - Ingram (re-signed)
    C - Biadasz (free agent)
    LG - Pregnon (pick 38)
    LT - Ersery

Depth: Trent Brown, Blake Fisher, Jake Andrews, Jarrett Patterson and maybe another free agent OG

Don't trust these guys evaluating any talent on the O-Line.

Fisher needed an extra year in college when he came out. It feels like he’s been trying to catch up ever since.

As an ND fan, when he got to college, he was the guy rallying other recruits in his class. Raw talent but you felt you saw glimpses in year one. Year two he started to show signs. Most thought he’d come back and progress further and see his stock rise to the first. But he chose to come out and I feel like he’s living year over year of Groundhog Day since freshman year in college.
